Sponsorship in the Dominican Republic

From the sprawling capital city of Santo Domingo in the south to the north-central province of Santiago, Children International is having a positive impact on the negative effects of poverty in the Dominican Republic.

Our agency in Santo Domingo has been operating since 1979, making it among the oldest in our sponsorship family.

Families of sponsored children earn anywhere from $US10 to $US60 per month. This wide disparity could distract from a simple fact: These families struggle daily to meet their basic needs. Without the benefits provided through sponsorship, these friendly Caribbean islanders would stand little chance of achieving a sunny future.
