Leading the Way to the United Nations
Sponsored youth leaders – one from each of the 11 countries where Children International works – are only a month away from visiting the United Nations in New York City to commemorate International Youth Day (IYD) on August 12.

More than 700 youth worldwide will attend the 6th annual Youth Assembly. They’ll share ideas in workshops, hold forums, develop leadership skills, engage in multinational networking, and learn how to implement what they’ve learned once they return home.

It’s a tribute to the power of sponsorship – and to the strength of our Youth Program – that our delegates will be among the youngest attendees. Some of them are even leading workshops that expound on the assembly’s theme of Youth-led Development.

Our homepage will feature more news about the youth delegates in the weeks ahead. Until then, here’s your chance to meet a few of our sponsored youth who are preparing to lead the way…
