New Yorker Wins Once-in-a-Lifetime Trip to Guatemala to Meet the Poor Child He Supports!
Steven Forsey wins Children International's first online sweepstakes focusing on helping more poor children around the world.

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. -- "I have never won anything before!" said Steven Forsey when Children International, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization, notified him that he won their Lift One Sweepstakes.
Children International's Lift One Sweepstakes is the organization's first online marketing campaign aimed at having supporters use a personal website to recruit friends and family to help children living in devastating poverty.
"I was surprised to hear that now I will be able to meet Yolanda Gaitan in Guatemala City. I just think Children International does an amazing job of helping children who don't have a chance," said Forsey, who has been a sponsor with Children International since 1998.
As the winner, Forsey plans to visit Yolanda in the coming year. Yolanda lives with her parents and brother in the slums of Guatemala City, Guatemala. Her father, Neri, supports the family on $182 a month. Forsey helps provide Yolanda with medical and dental care and educational tools -- a huge financial relief for Yolanda's family.
